Abstract: The WAVE paradigm [Sap92, Sap91, Sap90, Sap89, Sap87] is a new formalism and model for the highly parallel and distributed processing of arbitrary network structured data. It is based on the spatial matching and covering of the distributed data by moving programs, which dynamically split, replicate and navigate on the data network during the matching process .
